When it comes to your hard earned money and your future security, we understand that you cannot afford to get it wrong. Therefore, having a financial specialist on your team to help you reach your long term targets is often money well spent. But everyone’s financial situation is very different, so the overall cost a financial adviser may change depending upon how complex or how much time is required for advising you or managing your individual financial affairs.

Your time and money are the reason you seek a financial adviser, and at Collins Mann we respect that and don’t wish to waste either.

At Collins Mann, during three initial interviews, we discuss how we can help you, as prospective clients, reach your financial and lifestyle goals, and related costs involved.

  1. The initial meeting is one simply to assess whether we are the financial planning firm for you and secondly whether we believe we can add value to your circumstances and deliver on your financial objectives.
  2. During the second meeting which we refer to as a “Discovery Meeting”, we will ask you a number of questions allowing us to identify your financial values, goals and objectives, and what burning issues that are important to you. These are not your “run of the mill” questions. Their primary focus is on their importance to you. Prior to this meeting we will ask you to complete a Fact Find which covers your personal details and financial position to date. We will run through this briefly at this second meeting. But this meetings primary focus is to fully understand those burning issues, your personal goals and objectives for you and your family.
  3. At our third meeting, now in a position to assess your financial needs, we will provide you with a Letter of Engagement that will set out the costs of providing the advice and services we believe can assist you. This letter will detail costs associated with our advice and any on-going management and investment related service fees for the coming 12 month period.

These fees are fixed for the year and renegotiated every 12 months. Experience shows us that this structure is beneficial to both parties, because until both parties fully understand what is involved, it is difficult to ascertain an actual cost. For this reason, there is no cost to you while we gather the necessary information to clearly identify that we can be of financial service to you.

At this point the decision will be yours to make as to whether you wish to proceed or not.
